Contains DOOM 64 CE with upscales, PBR materials, new sounds and more. Requires a patched DOOM64.IWAD (see prerequisites instructions below). Comes bundled with GZDoom 4.10.0 for convenience, but you can use an existing installation of it. Read the readme for more details.
NOTE IF UPGRADING FROM <3.6: Saved games from previous versions won't work! This version has breaking changes, so any map packs from ModDB's addons tab need to be downloaded again. The Doom 64 Lost Levels wad also needs to be generated again using the patcher.

Prerequisites
Starting from version 2.0.4, DOOM 64 CE does not run standalone and requires a copy of DOOM 64 for Steam , GOG or Epic Games to work. The original DOOM 64 IWAD (DOOM64.WAD) can't be used as is and requires patching to make it discoverable by gzdoom. An automatic patcher is included in this package to make this process easier:
Run doom64-install.bat. It will try to find your installation of DOOM 64 and automatically patch and create all necessary files to play. If for any reason the Steam installation is not found, you can copy DOOM64.WAD to the same folder as the .bat file and it will use that instead (special thanks to phredreeke for the idea and initial implementation).
Once it finishes, open gzdoom.exe and you will be able to select DOOM 64 CE from the list. If you do not wish to use the bundled gzdoom and have it installed elsewhere, copy the IWAD and PK3s to its location or the paths configured in its [IWADSearch.Directories] and [FileSearch.Directories].

Hi.
I think doom 64 is a fantastic game, but what I don't like is the difficulty (I Own Doom) because it is almost like (Watch Me Die), for example, I have noticed
some (most) levels that there are almost as many stronger enemies as (Watch Me Die) and number of enemies from version 3.5.0 like n64 version.
That was a disappointment. I hope there was a program that is possible to recreate (remake) the enemies and difficulty, especially (I Own Doom), in that case I will like this game 10 times more and enjoying playing this.
That is my opinion and I think more people and just me maybe agree, especially if people wish to play every difficulty.
Is it possible to do that?
Just an idea, but maybe this could be achieved by selecting an even lower difficulty and loading mods that increase monster spawns, for example this: Forum.zdoom.org. I haven't tried it though, it's just the first one I found.
Hi.
I also noticed some enemies was gone and be added from a few levels (spawn enemies) in the game from version CE 3.5.0 comparing to n64 version.
If you selected the modern or experimental feature presets or enabled the option to add doom 2 monsters into the levels, sometimes some of the original spawns will get removed in order to place a new monster in a different location. It happens very rarely though. It's an attempt to maintain the same balance as the original level.
I meant (more people than just me maybe agree)
Nice job!! Works well on Delta Touch. I like the edit on the password. Makes it easier to not change to lowercase on android. The previous edit you did for me was really good. Just wanted to try this out too. Works great. Thanks again.
Awesome!
Thank you for your reply!
I wish it was possible to get help with the settings that I found was so disappointment yesterday. That would be so nice. Thanks.
Reuploaded to fix a problem with nashgore and crushed gibs not working as they should, and the pain elemental missing brightmaps for some walking frames. It's very minor so there's no need to download again if you are not interested in the fix.
There's an issue with the latest versions of DOOM CE.
The Arranged soundtracks do not load automatically anymore like they did in past versions.
I know they were removed from the main downloads, but they should still be able to be detected automatically when the files are present with no issues.
It’s intentional. They must be loaded manually now.
Could you make this mod compatible with brutal doom 64 please?
There's not much I can do about it, they use editor ids that conflict with vanilla doom 64 ones. You need to ask them for compatibility instead.
Ah I see ok then no worries and thanks for the feedback.
There's not much need for BD64 to be compatible with Doom 64 CE. If you want to know why, then here you go: Moddb.com .
Ayyyy, can't wait to see how to lower that accursed switch in Delta Quadrant now!
Crazy idea but could you implement the hud and mugshot from psx doom CE at all as an optional hud replacement within Doom 64 CE's settings? Please I think it would add a nice fresh touch as doom 64 has never had a HUD and mugshot before. Well it's got a HUD but not as detailed the pc and ps versions as you know.
