Discovery mod was designed as a full-scale expansion pack for Freelancer that adds diverse new content and yet remains balanced for online play, is stable, and is as bug-free as possible. Discovery 4.85 is the largest ever update for the mod. We introduced 110 new ship models, with most new ships receiving custom hitboxes. More than a hundred new weapon and equipment types have been added, many with custom weapon projectile and hit effects. 11 new systems were included, and about 30 previously available systems were updated, all of them following much higher quality standards than in previous versions. The mod now has a renewed balance system for weapons, equipment and ships, plus a fully revamped economy system that provides profitable routes for all locations and factions. To add depth to the new economy, 46 new commodity types were introduced. The role-playing identity system has received 53 new ID items. The new version also contains about 7000 new and rewritten infocard texts.
After three months of multiplayer beta-testing, Discovery v4.84 modification for Freelancer has reached release status and is already available for download.

After three months of multiplayer beta-testing, Discovery Freelancer version 4.84 has reached release status and is already available for download. Almost half a hundred original ship models were created for the mod by our community members. 5 new systems, numerous new weapon and equipment types were introduced, as well as new commodities. More dangerous foes and more challenging trade routes await for players to check them out.

The year is 816 A.S., and the history of Discovery continues. While Kusari onslaught into Bretonia has been stopped, fierce fighting in Tau systems still continues. The Wild are building a Nomad gate in Omega, its destination yet unknown. Rheinland accuses Liberty of illegal experiments with Nomads in the Alaska system that could cause dangerous consequences for the whole humanity.

Looks amazing, I'm gonna have to download it ;)
Is it compatible with the original freelancer storyline?
Will they both work together or does this one just continue from it?
Can you install it just after installing freelancer and start the game with this or do you have to complete freelancer first?
When you download 4.84 is the content from all the other releases included? And will it work with the demo version of the game, or only the full version? Also, can you buy the largest ships in this mod?
