I'm curious how you were able to make the light follow the character. Was the Fog of War just revealed around the character or did you use a level use of a 3d light attached to the model for that effect? It looks very nice.
We use a light effect attached to the chest of the hero.
Character as a light source is great and true to diablo.
But I dont think it's a good idea to give lights to all the enemies as well. It kind of kills the atmosphere. Remember all these creepy monsters literally emerging from the darkness in Diablo? it made them much more scary. It's not cool when you always know exactly how many and what types of enemies are in the room.
Thats why we dont attach lights to monsters unless they are important for a quest or a boss.
ok, that's cool. After reading your old comment of some pic here i just assumed that all enemies will have lights.
