In Desolated you play an Ex-Marine Dave who lost his family. The so called "Monsters" holded up a supermarket and killed his wife same as his two children. In this belief he wanted just to kill all that creatures, no matter of the price. But soon he'll understand, that he fought against the wrong and that there's no real evil or good... In Desolated: The Crying Fate you play the revenge-campaign of Dave and you will get through a lot of different places, for example a village, a train, a facility and so on. So the architecture is going to change very often and also the way of mastering the different places, either. The Modification will have new maps, models, textures, sounds etc. same as a money system, a "new" weapon called Firegun instead of the Plasmagun. What is so special about the mod is the story written by a talented story-writer and the plot is about the good and evil complex, but not like good vs. evil, it's going to be more special and new, a mod with a new kind of story.

I'm glad to finally present you the final and last trailer for the Modification before the release this year. So don't waste time, here we go:

Still I got something else to announce: if everything works right, Desolated will future different languages (voice-acting will still be in English, subtitles are used then). Planned are German and Italian, for more we'll look for translators later.

PS: Next week I'm gonna be on vacation, in the meantime Neurological will work on the soundtrack and =FF=Sturm is having a look on the weapon skins. If I'm back I'll put all my energy in this project so a release in mid/end september should be possible.

The coolest part of the video was the Island intro. That's not the real Voice Acting too, is it? It was a joke for the video, right?
Is the "cel shader" a video filter or really ingame? because tometimes it isn't very good visible.

This is probably the most visually interesting mod for Doom 3 I've seen in recent memory. I'm going to be honest and say that some of the content looks amateurish, namely the weapon skins, but otherwise I'm impressed. :)
Wow, the mod is great on the eyes. It looks frantic and fast-paced. The only downer is the weapon models. Some of them were iffy. But if you fix those, you'll be good-to-go!
First of all: glad you liked it but about the weapons, could you say in detail which ones you mean exaclty and why(don't say all)?
Cause I had to do them and I'm not into weapon modeling (have specialised myself for cars and props) and I didn't found a weapon modeler. But if you tell me exactly what you don't like I could do something on it!
My biggest problem with the weapons are the skins rather than the models. The actual models are fine, but the skins don't look appropriate. Most of the weapons look like they are made out of sheet metal or brushed aluminum. As a result, they look rather bland and the material looks wrong.
Ok it looks FANTASTIC, good job.
Get a better voice actor. I know it's insulting but honestly, it killed it. The Dialog is great, I love stuff like that, but from the current voice actor,(HEy, it may not even BE him, just bad audio equipment)it's terrible. It kills the entire mood. It feels as if some Counter-Strike player was trying to smacktalk someone who pwned him.
