I know it's bin a while since the last update. But there are many reasons for that, first of all the military service. I'm still at the army and therefore time is an expensive good.... but it'll be over soon, in april. It's not that I haven't done anything till the last month, I worked hard (if I had the time) and now you'll see the results.
So what's there new to tell? The level desolated_desert is now finished, the only thing that is missing is the balancing and maybe a bit of tweakin. As soon as the rpg system is impemented this can be fixed easyly. But here some new impressions...
I also managed it to change the monsters. By changing I don't mean just adding a new skin to 'em, now they got some more details. Till now I made some details to the Imp and the Hellknight to make 'em look much more interesting. And the story says the monsters and the humans have the same ancestors, so they need to have something in common. From now on they really do, the humans wear clothes and suits, so does the monster. Well, I'd say just have a look at the shots and enjoy...
Last but not least I officially wanna introduce the slowmotion in Desolated. It works like in Max Payne, you press a key and the time slows down for a few seconds. After that it'll need some moments to be activated again, otherwise it'd be too simple. The current plan is a "skillable" slowmotion which means it'll be possible to upgrade this ability using the rpg system. So if you use your skillpoints to upgrade this power the slowmotion effect stays longer and the time to reload it will be shortened. To give some impressions I made a short video showing how the Slowmotion works...
