The demon in the video above is toying with the player, he knows he can't be flanked and quickly pins the player down. The demon is seen to set fire to objects, manipulate them in different ways with the ghost gun, a new weapon which can move objects in more of a ghostly/poltergeist way.
We have our first map produced as seen in the video, really needs to be seen in game to appreciate the detail and fine work put into it by the mapper :)
Lots of refinements have been made to the human teams weapons, there is now a really agile rocket launcher and rocket Cam mode, to remote control launched rockets around corners and through building. During play tests we had several players fire rockets flying around the map chasing each other through vents, car windows and through other small gaps.
Demons can spawn headcrabs (we call them petcrabs) with much greater ease with the left mouse button and right click to directly control their petcrab (possession footage seen in previous news), demons get one petcrab at a time they can save it by teleporting it back to themselfs. Still working on getting them to level up to an antlion sized creature. The testers have worked out a jumping method to make the headcrabs fly, don't have the heart to take away any fun, just got to work it in somehow. I can always shoot them down with a rocket.
New models for players, weapons and headcrabs desperately needed, it will be summer soon so hopefully lots of spare time for any modellers that want to join or donate models.
