WEA Protector

The Protector is the basic infantry of the WEA forces, their “grunt” infantry if you like. The Protectors role and function slowly evolved over the years of the third war. Originally, the Protector was a member of the European Border Protectorate or EBP - with the difficult task of protecting all European border entrances as well as foreign situated European facilities. Think of Protector’s as the crack troops of the old European Army.

Once the Third war started, the number of standard European infantry was too low and in great disorder, as all countries had their own troops, names, and hierarchy. After heavy loses, it became clear that a new strategy was needed. As EBP camps were the best training centers and Protector Soldiers were some of the best-trained infantry Europe possessed, the WEA high command decided to increase the role of the EBP and make the protector the WEA's frontline assault infantry.

From this point on, all new infantry, recruits would enter the EBP training camps in order to become part of the feared European infantry divisions. On the battlefield, Protectors are equipped with a standard issue pulse rifle, and a ‘foxhole bunker deployment device’ for extra survivability. Foxhole ambushes have become a big problem for aspiring UAN and AC commanders.

UAN Iron Guard

Although Russian forces have always been a strong enemy or ally, depending on the side you were fighting on, their infantry has never been strong. VDV and Spetsnaz were the exceptions, but their limited numbers meant they were not an option in great battles. In 2054, the Chinese high command, created a new infantry training program called the Elite Guard. These were the next step from the already obsolete Red Guard. Enhanced training camps, better equipment and advanced training tactics, transformed the Elite Guard soldiers into the most powerful infantry on the battlefield. When the UAN was formed, the Elite Guard was soon combined with the russian war machine, creating what is now known as the Iron Guard Elite Corps.
The Conscript is the standard assault infantry of the Iron Guard, and while it's equipment is not as sophisticated as that of the Marine or Protector, it's powerful rifle and elite training make it the strongest front line infantry on the battlefield. Beware of this infantry unit, for if it comes in great numbers, meaning only a strong anti-infantry support can counter them.

USA Marine

The AC Marine continues the tradition of America’s powerful, well-armed infantry. The AC Marine is all that remains of the former USA Marine Corps. AC specially trains its Marines to make us of their new lighter weaponry. The standard AC Marine kit has been significantly reduced compared to its predecessor, the old USA marine kit. The AC Marine kit now consists of a specially designed, extremely lightweight rifle, light body armour and an ammo belt. The reduced weight of this new equipment allows the AC marines to sprint around the battlefield faster than their rival counterparts. This lets them reach their destination quickly and easily. However, the lighter body armour is more vulnerable to bullets and other weapons.
