DEAD CRY is a Total Conversion Singleplayer Mod playable through the Far Cry 3 Map Editor after installing mod and map files. The campaign will consist of multiple singleplayer missions very much inspired by games like Left4Dead, but with a Far Cry twist to them. The maps are all built from the ground up using assets at hand. Dead Cry will not merely be a bunch of maps or a mod alone though. It's as close to a completely new game as you can get. The campaign will include an immersive soundtrack, cinematic cutscenes, custom sound effects and voiceover work. Dead Cry is set to be released around Q3 2014 and is currently in Open Beta. You'll find trailers and gameplay down below. This page will be updated regularly.

Damn the cops look quite crisp in their Black Ops gear. Great work!

Thanks :D I had to replace a ton of textures to do this but I think it's worth the drive space. There's almost half a gig of new textures now, most of which are high res including mipmaps to increase performance.

Nice! I follow the mod dor a while now. But I have a question(not related to dead cry, just about the textures). Will you modify the privateer arms in first person? Because i always loved the privateer uniform, and blue is my favourite color so I would love to play it in SP.

The recruits use the same texture, so effectively the first person privateer arms are already changed to what you're looking at. I would not however recommend using this mod for singleplayer because it's quite buggy and sometimes crashes the game. If there's enough demand for it, I could easily release the blue arms as a separate download though, as it's just two or three different textures. I could easily add those to an otherwise unchanged patch file.

I would really appreciate it! Thank you! And there is pretty much demand from me:)
Oh, and BTW another question (i know it will be a litle bit too much asking): How's the mod progressing? I mean, you know, the levels ( i red about that you started working at the cutscenes). if you want any help with the map editor (which i highly dount, simply because you ar so much better than me at map editing)just write me a PM. Have a nice day!
