DCI: Last Alliance is a submod for Third Age: Total War, focused on the War of the Last Alliance in the Second Age of Middle-earth.
Of late, there's been a couple of Mordor preview requests. Now, they'll be last out, but just to be nice (or just to tease, hehe?) here's a peak.
Mordor legions invade the West, thrusting into Eriador, and the Kingdom of Lindon accepts the challenge.
Sindarin in polished steel and Noldor in brazen armours gleam under the Moon and stars, but the forces of Darkness shall devour them all...
Looks great!
Nice
Do you have any creative interaction woth people from the Third age or DaC mods?
Are you allowed to use their assets or do you have to create things anew?
As a submod to TATW, we have permission to use and edit the content in line with TATW:s creator King Kong's permission rules: Twcenter.net
That said, I knew King Kong when he was active (the load screen quotes in TATW, and its submods, are coded by me, while the palantiri are made by my co-worker Withwnar), and we know/knew many from King Kong's team too.
Indeed, as the TATW submod stage is not to big, I dare say we know about everyone of note, through Total War Center. Ergo, the guys of MOS (that Veteraan in our team is part of), DaC, FRoGS (that Araval in our team leads), Alternative Patch, and so on.
So no, to answer the question, gladly we do not have to create everything anew ^^
Thanks for the answers mate, good luck and keep up the great work.
Just can't wait for this mod!
Is this mod gonna overwrite vanilla Third Age?
Yes, but, unless you are limited by by space, you can have TATW and DCI:LA installed at the same time (currently I have TATW and five different submods, like MOS and DaC, installed side by side).
Instructions how to handle that are found here: Twcenter.net
