This is a T.C for MAX PAYNE 1 that I'm working on that's based on the 1978 Zombie Horror classic DAWN OF THE DEAD. I'm trying to stick to the movie as closely as the MP1 engine will allow me & I'm also using a DIRECTORS CUT version of the movie for refferance. This T.C has the same story, weapons, characters, music & green skinned zombies as the original movie, & just like the movie you have to shoot the zombies in the head to kill them. Also any weapons that became avalible to characters in the movie will also become avalible to them in this T.C & at the same time & places in the plot.

Please Note: The Clot45 & TommyGun were modelled & use by kind permission of Endo, ( the TommyGun has been reskinned by myself ).
The TearGas Granade Launcher is a reskinned & modified version of the M79 weapon from the original Max Payne game & remains the property of REMEDY.

Also Note: That the character modeling these weapons is not particularly the character that will be using them in the mod.

I seriously loaded up the main page, came face to face with that, and shrieked in terror.

Never before has such rage been conveyed in a single expression.

Well done!

vcatkiller, your so surreal!, I love it. :)

JoeX111, I can't take creadit for the head skin here as it's a skin taken from the original Max Payne game, ( although the body skin is my work ), But I will be using this skin for the character Roger however as it's pretty closed to how he looks in the movie, & no he dosn't always walk around with that look on his face in the movie as characters in Max Payne only pull these expressions when in combat. I am also using some of my own facial skins in this mod as well. ;)

HitmanV, Actually, Funny you should say that as characters in Max Payne have 3 facial expressions, idle which is a sort of non expression ( for everyday use ), grin which is not realy how it sounds as the grin expression is actually the combat expression as shown above. So I don't no why they called it grin, they should have called it something like combat, & then there's the dead expression, thats mostly pull when your no longer alive & have a distinked lack of movment ( I say mostly as this is not always true in the realm of Zombie mods, Ha..Ha ). So I suppose you could always change the idle expreesion to a smile if you wanted, but why you would want to be running around smiling when some Zombie is trying use your B***s on a barbecue is beyond me. ;)

ash13y, The hands are nothing to do with me as this is an original Max Payne 1 model reskinned, also you have to remember this is a MP1 mod not MP2.

silent_shadow900, This face is only pulled when using a weapon ( i.e combat mode ), as mentioned above.

666jake666, If I wanted to change games I would have switched to the Max Payne 2 engine, MaxEd2 which I've also got, but I've just got too much work done on this to change now as i've been working on it for over a year. Anyway don't underestimate the power of MaxEd1 as it's still a pretty powerfull engine for it's time & is very flexible, & you can do some amazing things with it. Just look at the Katana T.C for instance. I think people will be in for a big suprize with my T.C when I eventually released.

For my next project, I was thinking of doing a follow up to this T.C ( & before anyone says it, no it won't be DAY OF THE DEAD ), it will be called DAWN OF THE DEAD Part 2, as I wanted to continue the story of what happens to the 2 characters that escaped the mall at the end of the original movie as I think that would be pretty interesting & it will also be a completely new story & not a story copied from a movie as this one is. I will be using the Max Payne 2 engine ( MaxEd2 ), for the follow up as I feel pretty comfortable with MaxEd1 & there's not a lot of diffrence in the 2 engines apart from the quality of graphics in the finished product of course. ;)

If your talking about the 1st Max Payne, I wouldn't agree that it sucks just because it hasn't got these attributes, as it was a game that started a lot of the new concepts that you see in games today. But if you talking about Max Payne 2, it has both of these features.
