Absolutely great mod for Red Orchestra.

LOL....Only one server has any people playing what so ever.

Secondly, some of the maps have a LOT of balancing issues.

Finally. The people that play this mod are the same people who scream into their mic on Project Reality servers. Amusing but it loses it's allure pretty quickly. YMMV

Simply the best WW2 Multiplayer FPS experience I've ever heard.
Immersive and atmospheric. Beware though, it has a steep learning curve but is very rewarding in the long run.
Stop reading this, have a look yourself instead.

this mod holds as large a playerbase as the actual game nuff said.

Great stuff, lots of improvements upon the original game.

With Red Orchestra 2 right around the corner, you might overlook the games that fueled its' success. Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 introduced gamers to a realistic and tactical World War II combat experience on the battlefields of the Eastern Front. Darkest Hour then freely provided to these eager masses, the battlefields of Western Europe and the epic campaigns waged by each faction to liberate or control Europe.

Darkest Hour is a game which allows the player to participate in many of the significant and historical battles from Normandy to the Battle of the Bulge and everything inbetween. There's nothing quite like crawling your way through a field with the distinctive sound of an MG-42 firing, and the snap of the bullets hitting all around you. This mod has detail, from to the authentic *ping* of your M1 Garand as the last round in your magazine leaves the chamber, down to the sheer terror of watching a tank slowly rotate it's cannon towards your firing position.

One of the best mods I have ever played.
Adds so much more to the original RO.
