A re-translation of all the text from Redeem Your Space. Click 'Read More' to learn more and see a couple more images.
Redeem Your Space is an epic 50+ map campaign that was made by Mr Paci. It's one of the biggest mods to ever be released for the original Unreal (and UT99, technically), and it's well worth a play if you're into single-player content for the original game.
Sadly, the major issue preventing more people from playing this was that Mr Paci is Czech, and he never translated his work into English. Given how story intensive his mod is... that's an issue.
The good news is that the mod was eventually translated by Leo (T.C.K.)... but the BAD news is that it was essentially machine translated and then slightly tweaked by hand, so while it was English, it was hard to read and often didn't make sense despite his best efforts.
So I re-did it. All of it. All 50+ text files, re-written to be significantly more clear, legible and cohesive. I've probably missed a line or two, but for the most part things should be much easier to understand, as well as provide the occasional clarification of where to go (so when you hit a switch it now says what it 'probably just opened', for example).
Hopefully this is of use to people who want to play through this epic campaign. To use it, install Redeem Your Space (not uploaded here, but it's easily found elsewhere) then just extract all the files in THIS zip into the 'system' folder wherever you've installed Unreal. If you're prompted to overwrite around 55 files, say yes. Then just play the mod as normal.

And a final "why are you like this?" to ModDB, who forced me to upload this file from my phone rather than the laptop I used to actually do this on. Thankfully I was able to transfer the files across using Google Drive, but seriously... I tried with three different browsers, and none of them worked, but my phone was A-OK. Why are you like this, ModDB?
Thanks very much for this! I didn't even know this mod existed until now. Perhaps this should be uploaded to unrealarchives?
I'd have no problem with that happening. :)
Cool, i want to have everything Unreal related. Recently i completed Project Zephon that i discovered at Unreal Archives. So, try to add this there too. Thanks.
I'm the same - I want to play everything. Have you got Stargate Talisman?
No, i have to check this out. There are many quality campaigns for Unreal and UT. Check Savage Land, there is a demo out.
Oh, I've played Savage Land, don't you worry :)
The reason I brought up Stargate Talisman is because there's multiple versions of it and it can be kind of confusing to know which one is better. The best one is on this pages: Oldunreal.com
You want the one called SGT_SE2_2009_ENG.zip rather than the ones with Stargate Talisman in the filename, since those ones are earlier versions that don't contain all the bug fixes.
Hello C.S. Madisun,
For me the link leads to a 404-message.
Yeah, shouldn't have linked directly to the file... the site doesn't like that.
Go here: Oldunreal.com and scroll down to the file called SGT_SE2_2009_ENG.zip - that's the one you want.
Thank you for the clarification. Do you have any other recommedantions for single-player "expansions"?
Try my other files. :)
If you're after individual mods, I'd recommend 7 Bullets, Steele Dawn, the PSX Episodes, Deja Vu: Griffon Revisited (v2.0), Operation: Na Pali, Project Xenome, Project Zephon, The Vale: Evelyn, Vacillations of a Victorian Vagrant, Xidia Gold and Zero Black.
Thanks, although i get a page not found message. But it's in my "to play" list now.
Probably shouldn't have linked directly to it! This is the page you want: Oldunreal.com
There's a LOT of files on there - the one I was specifically trying to point you to starts with SGT.
Thanks mate.
