Hello Mod-Fans,
our Mod-Project "CounterStrike afterSource" is currently in "On-Hold"-Status. It means, we are not working at the moment for this mod, because we are thinking that the new "CSS Beta" brings new Versions of standard maps like "de_dust2" or "cs_office".
We will waiting until end of the year, if the CSS-Beta bringing the community the right way.
Many watchers of our mod will asking now, if the "CSS Beta" kill our mod. Our answer is clearly: NO!!
The CSS-Beta brings only Bug-Fixes and some new Engine-Features to a new High Level of CSS.
Our Mod brings instead completely new "Re-Design" of CSS-Maps like "de_dust" or new textured Maps like "de_cbble". That also means HD-Models will be in there.
Anyway, we are also looking for some new Members to bring the CSS-Maps in a new High-Level of "Counter Strike Source".
Mappers, Skinners, 2D-/3D-Artists are welcome. Send ma an mail on: templater@mapgate.eu
Regards
TemplateR
"Beyond becomes reality"
I clearly know about the recent update to Counter-Strike: Source, where they made it a bit more Team Fortress 2 like, but I haven't heard of any new update coming. What is going to be done in this update? Are they going to update the whole engine? Rebuild the maps and such?
Yes, they are going update CSS to the current Source-Engine Version ( Orange Box ) and fixes old CSS Bugs.
And no, they don´t rebuild the Maps from scratch. They implement only HDR and don´t change the textures.
We rebuild our Maps from scratch and implement Color Correction and other OB-Graphic-Effects.
whats in the new beta?
It´s to hard to explain, but you can read it here:

I guess that CSGO killed the mod
