I was sorting out a few CDs of mine and came upon a CD which had the many CS skins I've downloaded in the past.
I slid it into my laptop and to my sadness, it's no longer readable. It had really fond memories back when Counter-Strike Beta 5.2 ruled in the LAN shops around. Those were the days. CS 1.6 is getting more brainless to me (maybe it's because I hang around in Deathmatch mod servers). Furthermore, Valve and Co. doesn't seem to want to update it anymore.
If they could just fix
1) the FAMAS reload timing.
2) the damage of the P90 and Fiveseven (the latter is worse than the glock18)
and
3) the ROF of the Aug and SG552 when scoped
I would be delighted. It's just these few irritants that make a good game go bad. Forget about CS : S. I rarely touch that.
Back to the loss of my CD. There were countless number of skins that I have created. No really top notch but just resizes here and there to suit my CL needs. I cannot tolerate have a different arm skin for each weapon. It breaks the magic barrier that you have made when you're in game. It would be very weird to see the skin color of your 'hands' changing from brown to orange to yellow and suddenly having a tattoo. So in my best effort, I try to use the same hand skins and resize/edit them if they are misaligned.
That brings me to the point of the M4A1/M203. There are quite a number of good M4A1 skins but most of them lacked the M203. It would be fine if I wasn't so picky about firing an invisible M203. I would have to see if I could come up with something...
