In comparison to other races, both of these races seem to lack the end game power (and/or high power ranged weaponry/tanky high dps melees/alternate and better Relic unit) to be able to withstand other races on the same tech level. The worst of the worst type of Relic unit, the melee only monster type "The Living Saint" and two Land Riders with rather unimpressive DPS and health (or even weaker Chapter Master) are no match to whatever other races are able to throw at these two. Attacking early seems to be the way but that's not always possible, definitely not in Free for All 4+ players

The Land Raider has always been more of a support type Relic Unit, it's not meant to take on entire armies by itself or turn the tide of battle singlehandedy, unlike say the Baneblade. I've even had thoughts that the damage for the LR is too high sometimes. Even in vanilla, the Land Raider is better suited against single targets rather than an entire army. In vanilla Baneblade vs Land Raider 1v1 the Baneblade wins but only just and that's with all guns of the Baneblade focus firing. Maybe the Living Saint needs to be tweaked but it's only really good against groups of infantry with the ability, breaking the morale and generally only as a harassment unit rather than direct assault.
