So after finding a grid layout keyset for the mod long time ago, I decided to keep it updated on my own whenever new version of Funmod rolls out, also focusing on the abilities since those are susceptible to their position being changed whenever a leader with his own abilities is attached to a squad. Made it so leaders use A,S,Z,X,C for their set of abilities while regular units use T,Y,U keys. Recently I've went even further by attempting to provide hotkeys to weapons with Control+A/S/Z/X key combination and this is where I was met with most issues due too many conflicts or weapons not even having a hotkey to begin with. Hi there, I was the likely the one whose grid layout you downloaded way back (since I was only one who made and uploaded them), and it's good to see that you're also maintaining your own set. I've particularly struggled with abilities because they keep moving about, so I just stick them in convenient locations (mostly on the left hand side of the keyboard, but not strictly following the grid). I also wish the weapon upgrades would all have their own unique hotkeys, so that I can map them using the Control+ method that you mentioned. It's probably very tedious to create all of the unique hotkey entries, though I'd definitely be pretty happy if they were done so I could use Control+ for all of the upgrades. For the time being, I've left them as they are, since I rarely even use the hotkeys for weapon upgrades right now, given how often I need to check the tooltips to even figure out what I'm upgrading. Oh hi there! By breaking the habit of never using hotkeys in RTS games, it was bound to happen that I stumble upon your grid layout as the default layout isn't really helpful, in fact, it is discouraging to use. Good thing the devs thought of providing a way to rebind those and that Rotlung was there to provide his own grid layout which I'm thankful for. Since I totally forgot where I got the file from, I motivated myself to keep the layout up to date with the mod while also trying to provide the missing hotkeys for remaining abilities and weapons, and keep track of hotkey related issues which should be helpful for corncobman Just fixed the Fire Warrior hotkey btw |

The keydefaults file included is mainly for my own personal use. I have a few bindings I like such as b for barracks and r for research buildings across all races, etc. the rest such as weapon upgrades are just chosen pretty randomly based on how vanilla keys were done. I found that a few of the hotkeys you mentioned that are missing have hotkeys already. That being said, there are a lot of missing hotkeys. There are probably more, but I fixed the ones that were in the list. Some of the hotkey conflicts mentioned are probably due to copying an existing weapon and forgetting to change the hotkey. Changing all the weapons to have unique hotkeys would take a long time. I may go through the weapons for hotkeys at some point if I have the time. |

For certain units, the weapons for one side are upgraded normally but for the other side are either through abilities (Crisis Suits) or add-ons (Deff Dread, Battlewagon) so the hotkey listed in the weapon is ignored. I'll get to work checking and fixing the problems mentioned later tonight. EDIT: Leman Russ Autocannon hotkey exists. The rest have been fixed. Most of them were typos. Edited by: corncobman |

Oh hey Rotlung! Looks like I truly managed to pull off such a silly mistake. My bad, but fortunately, I was able to update a lot of these thanks to corncobman's recent implementation of hotkeys for a lot of weapons and team leaders. Just updated the file. Enjoy! |

Thanks so much for this. It made updating my own keydefaults a lot easier. I appreciate that you're keeping up on this, many of the conflicts have been resolved. I've taken the time to look through and test many of the entries on my own file, and here are some additional issues I've found: Dire avenger shields conflicts with one of the leaders. I haven't gone through the tyranid weapon upgrade hotkeys yet, but I'll let you know once I get round to them. |

The missing hotkeys issue may also be caused by overlooking the pieces of codes that are within the original KEYSDEFAULTS.LUA file (usually when newer Funmod rolls out). I'll check this later but if wish to verify this by yourself, simply quit the match, move the KEYSDEFAULTS.LUA file outside the Dawn of War Soulstorm\Profiles\Profile1\corncobmod folder and start the match again. if the missing hotkey now appears then please let me know of that particular hotkey. Already managed to run into such issue before with Leman Russ Autocannon. In a case where the hotkey is still unavailable, the only thing left is to wait until corncobman tackles the issue |

Except for the Crisis Suit right flamer, I fixed all of the conflicts and missing hotkeys in the list, thanks. A few of them like the Landspeeder multi melta was using the lascannon hotkey The Griffon flamer is actually the Chimera one so I made a new one. The Chaos Predator right lascannon was using the same hotkey as the left one. Fixed all of the shield drone hotkeys and repair drone hotkeys while I was at it. Edited by: corncobman |

The only races I don't do this for are tyranids (because most of the ones that come with the mod are not correct) and daemonhunt (since they aren't actually in the mod at the moment). So I should have most, if not all, of the official hotkey entries unless there was some human error on my part. Also, thanks Corncobman! Updated the file for Funmod v1.83.1 Updated the description within the file to reflect the actual state of the file, fixed Eldar transporter vehicles messy hotkeys along with a few other hotkeys, and ran into just two conflicts this time: |

So I took a look at the new Necron Lord researches... how are they supposed to work? I'm guessing they're supposed to overlap, but if you managed to tech, you get a bunch of them sitting at the bottom row as moving researches. If they're not supposed to overlap, it might be good to give them unique hotkey entries. |

Rresearch 3 (Mask) is supposed to overlap with research 1 (Cape) and research 4 (Reinforxed Body)is supposed to overlap with research 2 (Heart of Darkness or whatever it's called). |

Okay. In that case, would it be possible to change the hotkey of the 4th research to use that of the 2nd, since right now 3 of them are using the same hotkey, instead of having a 2-2 split? |
