Hi everyone!
As many of you predicted, in past 2 updates we teased you with renders of new Super Unit.
This Super Unit is Mobile Assault & Repair Platform aka "MARP", for Super Weapons conventional path.
MARP is the most expensive Super Unit and unit in game with current cost at 9000$.
Besides his incredibly strong armor, he has very good weapons systems, as well as additional abilities.
His main weapons are 2 strong anti tank projectiles which are good for any close combat situation.
Secondary weapon is artillery missile system which can be upgraded with EMP explosions. Good for ranged combat, but also works as separated turret.
What makes him unique are two of his abilities.
First ability is Tomahawk missiles stored on the back. They work exactly the same way as Tomahawk Storm does. Meaning, they can be launched anywhere on the map, when fully loaded. Unlike Tomahawk Storm, MARP has 2 missiles less.
Second ability is his engineering part, which gives him option to repair himself, or any other vehicle/structure nearby.
All of this is rounded up with beautiful animations, extra lighting (red for attacking, orange when idle, and green when repairing):

Does this replace the Saturn or does the SWG get 2 super units?

It states that this is for the conventional path, so it would seem so.
Super weapon general has 2 different paths now. Similar to Cyber, but even more units/structures are affected since you chose right when game starts.
This MARP seems like an economical version Leonidas, interesting.
And I wonder how does the devs gonna redesign the latter one?

Good day, I love your mod very much, but it's still not clear to me why you removed the thematic armored personnel carrier artillery of the infantry General? The one that was in Contra 009 Final Patch 2. Is it possible to return it or do something thematic for this general?
Artillery Troop Crawler shared visuals and therefore armor stats with other Troop Crawlers. That made it very resistant to bombers, and bombers must be effective against artillery.

As a big fan of the mod, I would like to return the armored personnel carrier artillery to the infantry general, it doesn’t hit me personally on the balance, can this be done somehow? I will be grateful to you.
But we do have balance issues with this unit. All arty units use unique armor, being vulnerable to bombers, tanks etc. If arty would use same chassis as other Personnel carriers then it should also share same armor, so , becoming resistant to bombers and all above.
Visually, I really don’t like the look of the infantry General’s artillery, can I make an exception for him? Or add the same armored personnel carrier, only a light type with weakened armor and a similar appearance? If there is such an opportunity, I myself would change to the old model from 009 Final Patch 2. I would really like to, because Patch 3 is beautiful, except for this moment.
China arty units will get individual models after beta release, that includes infantry general too.
