Wow, I didn't know how a model could change with just a texture. These...look...EPIC!!! Well worth the 3 days without any weapons. =D
The only thing I don't agree with is the bayonet. Doesn't really fit the Vietnam era too much in my mind.
They are all remodeled and textured by me. How come the bayonet doesn't fit? They had bayonets on everything, from Shotguns to M14's. The chinese Ak's and Sks had bayonets aswell.
US forces often employed bayonets for their M16's especially when assigned on long battles such as A Shau valley. They were common in Marines but in not regular US Army grunts.
Bayonets weren't popular for "normal" patrols and S&D missions. From what I have seen from live footage filmed by soldiers; many units prefered to mount them when assaulting enemy fortifications.
Ha, he is pretty much correct, I am and 11Bravo in the Army and we are not issued blades, seeing how we use M4's and not M16's it makes since, all though there was this guy who bought a rail mount bayonet and connected to the left side rail mount of a M240L, yes a lima, newer than the bravo(and lighter), needless to say he never got a chance to use it, but it did look pretty highspeed.. oops i mean cool...
sick!! will there be melee for the bayonet or is it just for show?
AWESOME!!!

Yeah, modern US Army had pretty much stopped using bayonets for combat related purposes.
M240L with a bayonet. So cool yet totally useless unless the OPFOR will be using human wave attacks again.
It was only after the Vietnam era that they started doing away with Bayonets as standard issue.
these are BF3 quality, whats going on?!
Less than 500 tris each coupled with a good texture. Pretty standart for a rts.
Will there be a m16 whit scope?

Like this one?
And will the bayonets be usable?
Ps. AMAZING WORK!
The two sexiest guns in the world are the M16 and the M14. Great job, they really turned out well after texturing. Keep up the good work!
fo rizzle, i never got the point of people bitching at developers for not being perfectly historically accurate
