Not at all. Those tents (tier buildings) are able to be build and unbuilt in the field. This concept is completely new creates new possibilities for the offensive play, which WM lacks so far.
Some units are also quite diffrent from any existing WM units, like the Mortar Carrier, which is more like the PE Mortar halftrack, or TOW emplacments, which are more like the British bofors.
These new combinations will make the US faction play quite diffrent from the Wehrmacht faction, even if some of the unit concepts are not completely new.
Apart from this, we didn't want to invent a completely new faction design, but still maintain a gameplay that let's you feel, that you are playing CoH.
