Since the Brutes are now higher up the tech tree, Yuri needed a basic anti-armor infantry to fill up the gap. The Armor Breakers are his answer. These soldiers are armed with a cannon that makes use of Yuri's Psionic Immolator technology, psychic blasts that can thrash matter. While the same technology which is used by his new Psionic Pylons and Deathbird bombers are effective verse most ground targets, the one used by Armor Breakers seems to lack good anti-infantry capabilities unusually. Still, most vehicles are at these guys mercy when they face up against them. Armor Breakers can also garrison buildings, increasing their survival chance as they rip tanks to shreds with an increased firing rate bonus.
