This vehicle became yet another proof of the high capabilities of mutant technical staff. Based on old tiberian war technology, Hover MRLS came back to life.
However, little was left intact from the original construction. New unit received tuned up engines and a pair of stabilizers for increased maneuvrability and speed. Vehicle's armament was replaced with newest missiles from the Forgotten arsenal, far more effective against aircraft than the old pre-war ones. Hover MRLS also received high-end computer system backed up with high power radar as a stealth detection scanner.
Lots of these units are being made by repairing and refitting tiberian war derelicts, but even more are being assembled from the scratch in mutant factories.

neat, but dont those fins kinda get in the way of it firing its missles?
thought somebody is going to ask that ;) Fins will not get in the way. At some turret angles, all missles will be fired from either left or right missile pack(the one that has clear firing path). It is impossible to block firing path of both of them at once.
...looks like the "normal" Hover MRLS with fins to me...
Mutant stole 'em from GDI and made their own. I'm so good!
