So, let me see if I get this straight. You're starting a new game (won a different engine) somewhat based on this mod ?

And, is it really going to be "MMO" ?? =/

-Based in the history line I've started with this mod

It will possess singleplayer capabilities...with MMO, global(world map) and local(pvp) chat, pvp battles, alliances, lvl system, civilization customization, balance between high level players and rokies, hero system and hero individual lvl system....
I've planned a "lot" of stuff, some of it combining gameplay mechanics from browser based strategy games and conventional rts...

I'm not trying to create a monster here, just something "different" and worth playing...

No, the idea is fine. I was just wondering what you meant with MMO: as in 'always online' kind of thing isn't always appreciated. =P

So, when you say world map you mean a map like in SC ?

Or the browser game mechanics you say means you'll have a world map (global): similar to games like Tribal Wars, GoF, Ikariam, etc.

But then when the players engage each other it moves to a regional map (local) ?
Hmm... so like an online Total War (campaign map), mixed with Civilization(Series) sort of game ?

Sorry for so many questions. You might not even have this fixed-planned. Just curious how you'd approach. ^^'

-Something like the world map of strategy games such as Tribal wars\Desert ops, which would be the map of the planet but on a smaller scale with something like 100 players per server\map, each "world map" would represent a server and the players would fight for the control of the planet...After some side or player wins or after some maximum time the server resets and the winner or winners get some bonus which would get some advantage when used....

-with a "city" to be evolved such as the ones in Tribal wars\desert operations or something like that, the more this "city" is evolved the best would be the performance of the player's base in pvp battles(...if the city barracks is lvl 10 then the barracks in pvp battles would be faster than the one of a player which has a city with a lvl 5 barracks...but not to the point to become too much OP, but enough to be useful), and as the player evolves this city it lvl ups and you could get some bonus to be used in pvp battles or to boost the growth of the city itself...

-when a player engages another player it would load a map such as the skirmish maps of C&C\CoH....and if possible battle between multiple players....

-a lot is being planned, a this is yet an idea on the paper...
development will begin as soon as possible....I already have two programmers to help, and I'll learn programming myself...but we already have some other projects to work and try to get some money to found this project as we will need to pay for the servers and for some better tools...

Gotcha. Yeah, I see where you're trying to go.
It might have some good mixes of mechanics, apparently.

I'd say, even though you say it's not something big, it does still seems something that will require a lot of attention.

Best of lucks. Would like to follow its progress closely when possible. ^^

Description

The development time in this project will be severely decreased, I've just begun to work at a (f2p) MMORTS game which will be powered by the Unity3D Engine....

But, this mod is important to the history of this MMORTS, as it tells the history during the great war which shaped the world, and the new factions in the game...You may ask, why I just don't release it in the Unit3D as well!? well, basically, because this mod is half-way done, so I'm probably just going to finish it, but depending in the progress with the MMORTS I might just make changes to create a conventional RTS and move everything there and release two new games(a conventional and a MMORTS)...

Ok, here some backstory...(will be improved as I go)
Factions: Empire, Federation, Scavengers, Aliens(Yeah, I'm not good with names)
History\Introduction: "During the Alien invasion at the WW3 in 2024 the world has passed by many changes during the ten years of war, whole continents have being destroyed, billions have died...By the year of 2034 we were all exhausted, and we needed time, the planet needed peace...But even after all the effort to unity all the humanity for our survival, we ended up being divided again by greed and old rivalries...The Empire controls whats left of the American continent, The Federation controls most of the remains of the Eurasian continent, while "them" controls the remains of the African continent...But there are also those which possess no flags, no rulers, the Scavengers...But now, peace has finally come to a end...And you will help to decide if it will be our end as well..."
