This is a full conversion Tolkien mod for Crusader Kings 2 which will feature bookmarks throughout the Third Age. This mod is being developed independently from any other LotR or Middle Earth mods out there. The map will cover the main areas of Middle Earth, known in the books and films. How does one acquire the One Ring? I've played two games now where the holder of the Ring was in my court. Once was when I conquered the Shire and Frodo was in my court and another time was when Sauron died in battle (which should be impossible) and the Ring fell into the hands of a female courtier who I managed to invite to my court through marriage. But both times, I didn't have the option to take the Ring from them even though they were basically living in my house. I think that maybe there should be more ways to acquire the Ring. If you conquer the territory of the Ring holder or you somehow manage to get them in your court, then I think that you should have a diplomatic option to take the Ring from them, with a percentage chance to succeed, sort of like imprisoning them or assassinating them. What do you think? |

I made an account just to talk on this forum. This mod is awesome and I love it. I too am having trouble getting the ring. Also is there not a way to acquire the other rings or artefacts that others possess, such as the staff of Sauroman, or the elven rings. I captured the dunedain kind of Arthreduin (or however it's spelled) and I had no option of taking his possessions. Also I had Scatha the worm join my court, none of his children possess the worm dragon trait and they lake any racial traits prolonging their life. Perhaps maybe adding a dragon racial trait? Also why do the Great spider racial traits prevent them from being of any use? I could see why their diplomacy and stewardship could be nerfed but their martial I would think would be strong. I also am having a problem with sending the witch king off to find the One ring and he stays on "pilgrimage forever" have others encountered this problem? |
