This is a full conversion Tolkien mod for Crusader Kings 2 which will feature bookmarks throughout the Third Age. This mod is being developed independently from any other LotR or Middle Earth mods out there. The map will cover the main areas of Middle Earth, known in the books and films. So, Middle-Earth is waiting for you! Will you play as the descendant of one of the noble families of Rohan or Gondor? Will you try to reforge the ancient kingdoms of Elves in Eriador? Or will you try to destroy all the Free Peoples, and claim Middle Earth for Morgoth? This mod will give you a unique strategy experience of the Third Age in Middle-Earth. Hey,
I just downloaded the mod, put it in the right directory (I had to manually create a /mod/ directory, is that relevant ?). I launch it with all DLC's unticked, everything goes right until the moment I push the button "play" in the solo menu. Then it starts to load the new game, and suddenly crashes with a "CK2 has stopped working" error message.
Do you know any fix to that ?

Well, look at all our messages, the mod isn't working with the latest version of Crusader Kings II. We're still working on it, but if you want to play it, please reverse your version of CKII to the 2.2.1 build!

okay, I have been trying to get this mod to work for hours. I have followed everything. I am running the mod on 2.2.1 with all the correct patches etc. I choose the campaign, click play and it crashes. No game error message it just takes me back to steam. I am running the mod on mac does that mean it doesnt work?

Current mod version is up to date with Horse Lords, not 2.2.1.
