The texture almost looks as if it is at a higher saturation, is that it? As if the blacks are lighter (comparing to the other side)?

Doy you ever read the description? There should be texture details (TD or DT (detail texture) on the walls and ground, but there are no TDs. I'm distant from the walls in this image. But in the next image I'm closer and the DTs appear.

I think it's like that b/c of the old engine, the draw distance is quite low, and when it was released (with hl in 1999) graphic cards weren't able to do better...

To fis the problem you probably should improove some stuff because as a good example of hl engine problems try the map dbz_kamelook and you will obiviously see..

When I get close the texture details appear. But from this distance, they are invisible. How can I fix it?
