The goal for CiNEMAtic mod is to bring amazing visuals that still will have a classic feel while playing the visual mod but with the utilization of new visual features of DarkPlaces engine that adds particles, Quake 3, and Quake Champions models, new great textures, ray tracing, great lighting, and higher polygons models. I am going to use artificial intelligence that brings the depth of details for the textures redrawing method. This mod will be based on the best community mods(see the Readme) and my design and development as well. Mod will be oriented for 4K,8K, and 16K video resolutions. So where's the mod? I see it's released but I don't see a place to download.
Quake original vs Quake CiNEMAtic - the difference like day and night and everything comes as one package ;-) that you copy into your quake original folder in id1 folder ;-) This is a foundation from the Quake community to the Quake community that will be modified further. Check the readme for third parties credits.
will the game be updated to play the music compared to other source ports?
i could never play the music of quake 1.
im assuming mods will be compatible with this one?
Given that this runs on the DarkPlaces engine, yes, music should play just fine regardless of the mod. You just need to place the soundtrack files (eg. ".ogg" format) within a "music" subfolder inside of the root ID1 folder. Should be tracks 02-11 (track02.ogg, track03.ogg, etc.).

Hi gamers, I shared the first public video of Quake 1 CiNEMAtic Mod over here and this is the first final public version that will be used as a foundation while a lot of work will be done in the future as well to bring it even to better visuals. As you can see that mods features the best mods from the community plus my own design of some elements. CiNEMAtic Mod v1.01072022 for Quake 1 community by Quake 1 community. If you are looking to play in 8K resolution then you will need RTX 2080 Ti video card, Titan RTX video card, or newer video cards.
