You play as Keith. A quite ordinary man who one day receives a letter from his old friend Angus, who have just been informed that his grandfather has died, and Angus is to inherit his old castle.

That's a good idea. I could do it. Can't promise it will be in this custom story but thanks for the idea.

Description

Showing two new features in my custom story, Castle Darkuan for the game "Amnesia: The Dark Descent"

#1 - Items spawning at different locations:

In the beginning of each map, a script will pick a number between 1 and 7. Each number represents a "scenario". In every scenario are codes activating certain item pick ups and they are all unique ones for every scenario. They are not always fair either, and I'm aware of that, and I do not intend to change it, cause I want it to impact the playthrough a little bit. The different scenarios also activate certain breakable boxes & barrels to include items, these are also unique for each scenario. Developing this feature is at least for me personally I quite time consuming thing to do but I really hope it'll be worth it. I've never seen it in a custom story before.

#2 - "Examine" feature:

Inspired by games such as Penumbra, Silent Hill, Resident Evil, and the Amnesia custom story "Deterioration", I have made a lot of normally static or un-interactable objects, interactable. When you look at them and click on them you will get a comment like "An old clock. It has stopped." This goes along very well with one of the other "features" for this custom story is having tons of items and interaction. I personally love it in games when I can inspect objects and such.

I hope to release the custom story within a few months. I still can not say an exact date, or even estimate a month, but it feels like I'm done fairly soon. One problem, which is actually a good thing, is that the more I work on it, the better I get, therefore I have to go back to earlier levels and make some adjustments to fit the standards of the others. While this makes development longer, it increases the overall experience and quality of the custom story.

My biggest problem is story. I'm not good with story. I will see how I will solve this. Expect a bad plot, but a well DEVELOPED custom story overall.
