Ever wish that Westwood had patched Yuri's Revenge so that it could reach its full potential? CannisRules: Balance of Power is the next best thing. Rather than seeking to add a load of new units, this mod instead takes the units that are already present and makes them much more useful and fun to use.
But for those players who ARE looking for new units, the latest release of CR:BoP features the brand-spanking-new Beyond Revenge mode. In this game mode only, all factions can build NEW special units at high-tech level.
And of course CR:BoP supports both of the Assault Mappacks, which means a total of 50 maps to play Assault and Capture the Flag games. (CTF is multiplayer only)

The latest version of the CannisRules: Balance of Power Yuri's Revenge mod is now available. The development of the Beyond Revenge expansion continues with the addition of 2 new, totally original units, and as usual, many more game tweaks and enhancements - too many to list here. Significant additional AI coding has been added to support the computer's use of the new expansion units only in the game mode that features them.
This is probably the most polished and fun version of the mod yet! Get CannisRules and see for yourself!

The Truth to be told Cannis never did upload his mod to the moddb or even filefront! (WTH!? Why post a mod and not post your mod files?) Luckily for all of you here I still have the mod, required terrain expansion pack and I uploaded it to the front today.

TO RUN THE MOD:
FIRST!!! (MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YURI'S REVENGE 1.001 INSTALLED) INSTALL THE FILE TX_v202a.exe (Which is the terrain expansion pack btw works with the first decade as well tested it myself.)
SECOND!!! RUN THE FILE CannisRules-1.8.exe This will cause the XCC Mod Launcher for CannisRules 1.8 to open.
THIRD!!! CLICK THE Launch CannisRules and the mod should start up.
The mod WILL NOT modify any Yuri's Revenge files BUT it will create the mod files in your RA2 directory. WHEN YOU EXIT YURI'S REVENGE THE MOD WILL CLEAN THE FILES IT CREATED IN THE RA2 DIRECTORY.
I take no credit in this mod. If anyone sees or can contact Cannis for some weird reason credit him and whoever else who made this excellent Yuri's Revenge mod.

(BTW IMPORTANT: If for some strange reason you crash or the mod doesn't clean its files, go into the RA2 directory and remove the following files: ra2md.csf, glslmd.shp, expandmd99.mix, expandmd98.mix, ecachemd99.mix, ecachemd98.mix, ecacheassualt98.mix, and cannismd.pkt.
After deleting those files, Yuri's Revenge will work fine. :-] )
