So my first real campaign with the Mod so far and I picked the Dwarfs (I forget how to spell their technical in-game name.) I got to about the year 2521 and so far 7 times my game has crashed on the Rebel's turn. At first I thought nothing of it beyond; still a newer Mod in a sense. But after crashing six more times, I've finally come to the conclusion that there might actually be some sort of problem.

Now to put a little more context on this, allow me to go over every length I have gone to so far to avoid crashes prior to this issue.

1. Installed the mod (most likely incorrect as I couldn't follow the exact same formula as the Youtube video told me.) - Of course I experienced enough crashes to make Grimgor himself throw his axe over a mountain in frustration.

2. Installed the patch exactly as told and saw a reduction in my crashes - Praise Sigmar!

3. Used the Batch file instead of the normal Desktop/Steam launcher. Once again, saw a reduction in crashes, but nothing long term as maps/sieges I was playing on just fine started to crash as well - Well, back to throwing the axe over the mountain.

So at this point I thought to myself - Don't blame the Mod developers, you did most likely do something wrong.

I did a full on re-installation and not just the mod, but the whole game as well. One fully installed Medieval 2 and Medieval 2 Kingdoms later - I'm back to the same spot where I started, only this time I created a 'Kingdoms' launcher and got the 'Double Beeps' that I was expecting to get and skipped ahead to get the patch in right after the mod was installed. Everything recommended and suggested (yes this means the 4gb Patch also) achieved. Crashed with the Desktop launcher, had better success through Steam but still crashed, and had much more noticeable success with the Batch file after this. Did some tweaking with my in-game settings (My PC isn't exactly crap, but it's not exactly a show pony either) These setting changes helped a lot, but in the end I still managed to find myself having crashes, though not as many as I was prior to the changes. Thus bringing me here today with the mention of the Year 2521 Dwarf crash.

Not sure what is exactly causing these crashes, but I'm guessing its one of two things - A. Just a newer Mod being a newer Mod. or B. I installed it wrong still, in which case I'm scratching my head on what exactly I did wrong, unless of course it is the creation of that kingdoms launcher? No idea though ultimately.

Still loving the Mod overall and don't regret putting in the efforts I have so far, willing to put in a little more if one or more better (and practical) suggestions are offered. I hope future patches will help clear up some of these crashes, till then however. It's back to seeing if I can get this Dwarf campaign going again, or if its time to start up that Reikland campaign I've been pondering.
