Call of Chernobyl is a free-play sandbox mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. : Call of Pripyat created by TeamEPIC. It features 32 explorable maps, reworked level design and level fixes, new original level, Trucks Cemetery, Full AI and A-Life overhaul, engine and script enhancements, Repeatable task system which bases itself on A-Life events, Customizable weather environments for every map as well as surges and psi-storms from AF3, Character creation which includes name, portrait and faction selection; Several optional modes such as Ironman mode, story mode and zombie survival mode, New achievements, rankings and reputation system, PDA leaderboard and enhanced PDA statistics, Companion system with keyboard issued commands, many optional side-features and community-made addons . I did a play through across the maps for the test and now I can say it.
Yes, the good old artifacts are back.

It's OWR but no new weapons. Just the vanilla ones, but updated. ;)
Will I be able to substitute vanilla configs in? I really don't like OWR 2's weapon models. If it requires merging I can most likely do it, but if I can just overwrite it that's great.
The mod will surely be released with vanilla weapons, to easily merge whatever weapon mod you like.

I was wondering the same question, because I've liked how they where in SoC. But it's not coherent if they are visible and the vanilla CoP artifacts are not.
So, I decided to make them invisible by default.
But, it's just a single setting line in the configs to make them visible : "invisible = true"
So, you'll probably be able to change this to your taste.
Hey I remember posting this and I am curious.. Is there a way of making the Vanilla COP artifacts visible via a config file edit? And if yes which file would that be?
Would be really glad if artefacts were visible since I am playing with Arsenal MOD + MSO
IMO,for best gameplay in order of preference:
1.visible artifacts without detectors (SoC style) best immersion - you really have to scout the landscape and look for them,makes you work for them unlike the next preference that has you starring at the detectors display
2.invisible artifacts with detectors (CoP style).this is listed as a preference because of the mods that have visible artifacts and also detectors(whats the point-just spawn them in my inventory already)

A shame that you did nothing but these useless explaination. If it goes to be beta released, just let it uploaded to this website. These work didn't runs well truly as you want, through what your said lacking of confidence.
Hard to understand what do you want to say. Just chill out, and burst out only after you tried the mod. Beta doesn't always mean useless crap.
