Crash at start for me caused by unsupported russian syntax:

Had to delete/rename these files: "gauss_cry_shoot - оригинал" and "mp5sd_suppressed - копия"

Hi Guys!

The sounds do not happen to me. Of course, that'd be easy. You can just delete them, they are not called in game. Or, as Bmb said rename. Interesting is the sounds are the same from previous version and no issue before.

The other stuff working on a patch as we speak. Just differences in repos. I'll post a patch shortly.

Patch 2: Fixes mutant item parts CTDs. Voradors level event CTD is fixed for Agroprom.

There may be a few more of the kind of CTD Vorador had. It's just idiosyncrasies between the repos different terrains. Fixable but inconvenient. I didn't have time to check everything or I would never have released anything new. Sorry Guys!

Just tested AK12 detached scope and re-dragged back on to it. Works OK for me. Let me know. AK15?

The new Zombies are much more valuable opponents as you intended, Sir Bamah. The tougher ones are way better than before and my humble opinion is not just for "headshot only" but I`d welcome some zombies with helmets too. The option to raises from dead stalkers is extremely successful and provides some nasty surprises for overconfident PC. It is no less valuable than the stalkers who panick and run but then suddenly shoot you in the back. Still some of these resurrected zombies just stood on one place or walk with weapon pointed high in the air. I`ll test a bit more.

I found no strange or missing sounds so far. I even heard an enemy walking behind my PC (with all music and radios turned off for better immersion). The enemies still have the tendency to sneak behind PC for long time and not shooting him. Even if you know that they are behind you it is possible to run or walk behind cover. Turning to face them provoke an immediate gunfire and it is no longer possible to outrun them.

For only two hours of gameplay I found six artefacts from the corpses of 29 stalkers. I haven`t had such fortune ever before.

Hey Vorador, I'll look at the zombied awareness and NPCs sneak. The loot is too good. I will tone down the artifact drops.

If you guys are interested NPCs now launch grenades. This is an older version I used from 2015. I will look at modernizing it shorty. Just seeing if its worth it in game. Let me know. I did this kinda quick. Tests OK. If it CTDs try to determine if its the rx_gl or just the Gun Mod. Before posting it doesn't work. Sometimes when an NPC is hit, the mod will CTD. That is not the rx_gl. It's something else in scripts a bone index or callback etc..

This is just a test! Back up files first!

Edit:Updated download for GL files with weapon files sound corrections that I found while testing grenade launchers. Mostly for GP30


To just test in say Cordon use this download of loadouts for duty. Spawn some Duty sim 3 and 4 by Nimble's house-ish and at the end of camp toward road, spawn say bandits. Use god mode and be invisible. Not invisible, if you are in line of Duty's fire they will abort fire.

I just got CTD. No crash report nothing. Here is the saves, log and user configuration. [ link ]

As you can see, I am at Army Warehouse, and got these two dudes at my neck. I sneaked behind those concentrate blocks and waiting for them to approach. I killed first from left side, but other one got me from right. So, in the moment he shoot me, there is no death and firing sound, just dead screen at the half of the second than CTD.

One more notice. First minutes of play as Loner, i was in Cordon, and in Sidorovich bunker, music playing always yes. And thing is when you step a front of the door you hear the music but if you turn head right or left music disappear.

When you hear the sound stutter and echo, the game will CTD. Those I believe are a bad spawn or an engine CTD. The engine is odd at times. Hard for me to trace those. Since it may be an object and the info is sparse. I rely on info from you guys and the game environment to find them. With this engine, some sounds that were not an issue previously, are now, and I think that may be what this is. I'll look!

Zon, what addons are you using? I see an issue with the anomalies in console, but that should not CTD. It does not CTD for me. I am using rx_gl. I'll disable that and retry your save. BTW that was an interesting situation you had in Army warehouse.

I notice you guys like playing as other factions so I'll give you better loadouts. Like I did for Loners.

I think my game is different from yours Zon. I cannot crash it with your save. But, I found if an NPC is going into a g-launcher stage and you shoot him it will not crash but it will not reload the save. I assume if I waited long enough it would CTD.

I still have large number of CTDs without logs, so I suppose it is the plain old engine. Should I use DirectX10 Enhanced or DirectX11?

Something happening here with the sounds for sure. Will play with headphones, better overall detection of.

It is everything out of archive. Linked textures and database from your post, and Bmb weapon configuration for last. That is all, and you see the graphic settings I use.

I need to say, this version V5, seems a bit more less optimized, got more stuttering and frame drops than usual before, probably due older engine.

Going to play now, as Loner again. This time will use some other spawn point than Cordon.

Okay. Played for an two hours. Got two CTDs.

First one happened during level change, load. I was hit by Pseudodog, and jumped in last second to the next level to survive(XD). I was tryed to reload the same level and save, without issue. Here is the saves and log [ link ]

Second one was during fight. I was loaded quick save, to avoid mission to fail, and sec after CTD. Here is the log and save as well. [ link ]

Getting a nice progress in the game. Zombies, Stalkers, Mutants, everything went fine so far. But need to say boars are kind a lost here. And Cats are so annoying :D

I've shortened the dialog and it doesn't crash anymore, but another crash with the CS bartender for the same reasons. These dialogs are only two and half lines long in notepad++. It's really not so much but it seems too much for this engine. Or it's something else ? Dialogs with CS leader are longer but don't crash for exemple.

I noticed something for an 2hrs of playing.

Here is the screenshots [ link ]

On first image, there is a very noticeable flashlight, a bit to far to be seen.

On second and the third one, same, flashlight weird light.

Forth, this guy trying to pass trough desk, I think there was some mutants around, everyone was disturbed inside.

I was unable to catch, but there is a lot of flickering caused with wall lamps at night.

When you reload the game, in most situation weather changes. Raining-reload-foggy for example.

Overall, Bmb, it looks that distances values are too far in most cases. I suppose this happened due testing for now.

How its going with configuration values for optimization?

The flashlight issues are volumetric light. It's not correct in the engine. It will cause flickering near a lamp or campfire. This is a known issue with x64 engine. You can also turn of volumetric light in game options under advanced.

To turn off NPC torches volumetric light

Go to models\objects\light_night.ltx

[torch_definition] turn off volumetric. I did turn off for actor.

volumetric = true

volumetric_for_actor = false

Weather issue has been around since 1.4. I will look at the script.

For now, am looking to put some new textures into, have some old addons, but it needs some adaptation, cant just drag and drop.

Next, will try to implement some old addon tweaks to new CoC configuration as well. Like armor upgrades, damages.

And about sound fix you provided, I guess there is a lot of unused sounds. Better play without and keep tracking .log will there be CTD caused by missing one? Will clean archive with present one in gamedata to get which one are new.

I think at the end of the week got first draft.

Hmmm, I tested the game a couple of hours with DX10 and then two hours with DX11 without the DX10.1 option. DX11 worked way better

DX11 is kinda unfinished. So less shaders are being utilized. It will be faster than 10.1 or 9.E. I'm playing on a dual boot with Windows 7 on DX9 enhanced. This is what I base the performance on. Win 7 is better for this game than 10.

Turning of 10.1 option utilizes less resources also. Change your snd_targets lower and switch distance and see if your performance increases. There was a mistake in the repo with rspec values with snd_targets originally.
