With this addon, NPC now drops artefacts! The default setting is 0.1%, which means that each time you killed a npc, that's only 0.1% they will drop a artefact.
Good idea but incomplete, you shouldn't add 100% or the other % ... just 1%~10% would be more than enough ( as you know money making in CoC is very easy so this will make it easier , this would be uaeful if the artifacts respawn was low so this will give you better chance of getting the artifacts you need but its not )its an advice anyway ! Good work mate ;)
1. can i use it on 1.4.22
2. would it work with SAH artefact hunter mod ?
3. i like you work :)
I don't think you can use it on 1.4.22, also my addon is not work with that mod. But I might make it work with that mod later.
Very nice. Always wanted this but never got around to doing it myself.
Noticed 2 typos in the 1% version that I don't think were intended:
line 21: 10% chance of dropping a flash instead of 1%
line 104: 10% chance of dropping a goldfish instead of 1%
Thanks for the addon!
Gonna fix now, thanks for telling me :)
Really cool mod, I hope it won't over ride my merge mod. Thanks for sharing it!
Could you add support for the mod Artefact Expansion v1.2 [CoC 1.5] in that it drops those new artifacts as well?
I added the new lines of your mod into my existing misc/death_items... together. I noticed when comparing the .ltx files that mine has lines with ;≈да and your's are ;Ед? I don't know if that differance matters.
For example:
My existing one:
[army]:base
;јртефакты
your one:
[army]:base
;Артефакт?
Thought I would share that, I don't know if it is important.
Ill creat a new one for the artifacts expansion to incude the new artifacts, then send it to you and may integrate it in the merge in my next update? I will edit the spawn rate to make the hunt harder !
Note: i will add low rate so this wont make the game easy like the vanilla xD
Ok
I might add support to the mod later. And the lines you talking about won't make any differance because CoC won't read the lines after the ';'
Seems kind of OP, as you can ALREADY find NPCS with artifacts.
Will you add a patch to this for support for the Artefact Expansion v1.33 mod (here: Moddb.com)
Not sure if i can install that mod AND this mod without comparability issues, + it'd be cool to have those artifacts have a chance of dropping too.
I can confirm this works in 1.4.22 but really anything higher than 10% is way too much, and even then 10% is pushing it. Because it's not a 10% chance that they'll drop an artifact at all; each seperate artifact has a 10% chance. So even at 10% you're basically guaranteed to get at least one artifiact for each NPC, but I was usually getting two.
Good mod, just need scale back those percentages or else it becomes OP.
Yeah this needs a change. Im finding like 3 artifacts on a dead person with mod lol. only using the 1% chance as well
That 1% chance is for each artifact individually. I worked out the math and it turns out even with just a 1% chance for each artifact, that's actually about a 20% chance of finding at least 1 per corpse with 23 different artifacts available in the game.
P(at least 1 cheeki breeki) = 1 - P(no cheeki breekis)
= 1 - (1 - 0.01)^23
= 1 - (0.99)^23
= 1 - (0.7936...)
= 0.2064...
= 20.64%
I'd recommend toning the chance down to something more like 0.05% or lower.
