Description

Changes weapon durability on enemy drops, consumable drop rates, and ammo drops. Works best with Survival Mode, Warfare mod, and any other situation where massive amounts of loot might be obtainable very easily. Or if you want to be a masochist and use it with the Desolation mod, which would make acquiring good gear to take a very long time.

Okay no problem. Go into gamedata/scripts and open up the death_manager.script, I recommend using Notepad++ to do that, it's free. Now, when you open the file you'll notice that it's separated into sections that all begin with "function". You want to scroll down to "function_set_weapon_drop_condition". The second line is what you want. This part, (-100,100), controls the durability that weapons can drop at, anywhere between -100% durability to 100% durability. So if you want a range of 0-40% durability, just change it to (0,40) and you are good to go:)

You get tons of ammo from the guns that drop on people you kill. Ammo is seriously not an issue in this game, even with low amounts of NPC's around. This only makes it SLIGHTLY slower to obtain. If I could remove taking ammo from guns too, I would, but I can't quite figure out how to do that. Everything I've tried doesn't work:(

UPDATE: Mod has been updated to drastically limit the amount of ammo you get from weapons now. All thanks to xqdcss and Aludaio for making it happen :)

I like having a bit more diversity with weapon durability and more of a need to buy consumables. But I cannot find ammunition for certain weapons and a lot of said weapons are always at 0%. Might need a wee bit of an update. But I like it.

You aren't supposed to find ammo at all. Not by itself. Take the ammo from the guns you loot. You will get plenty. And yeah, the drops you get from guns are completely random, so you could get a bunch of good one's in a row, or a bunch of crap ones in a row. It's all RNG.

Is this compatible with STCOP or AO3? Seems like just the mod I'm looking for right now!

Yep, I use STCOP. Shouldn't have any problems with AO3 either.

Yep, I absolutely recommend this mod for Warfare. Without it, you will become insanely rich in a matter of a couple hours, depending on how crazy your battles are.

Hey Mate,

Loving the mod does almost everything I want it to do, though I was wondering how do I increase the drop rates of consumables? Is it death_items_by_communites, death_generic or the various XML files?

Thanks for any help!

You would want death_items_by_communities. 1 = always drop or 100%, just for reference.

Just to leave a warning if somebody try to edit the script with Notepad in Windows 10, the script crashed every time for me. Then I edite in Wordpad and it worked (yeah, no idea why).

Otherwise, nice addon, makes life quite harder! ;)

Hey man, I played quite a bit with your mod and I think is really cool. It is nice to be able to fetch a nice gun from a corpse, and to actually have to worry about consumables and ammunition (boxes and crates become very, very important). I would like to make a few suggestions:

* Since the stalkers carry no consumables, they do not have anything to trade. Bartering with other stalkers is a fun part of the game for me. Is it possible to make them have something in their inventories more frenquently?

* In general the dropping raters are too low. It's nice that it is harder, but not so nice that you can kill the whole Rostok and do not find a single medikit. Could you make files with different ratios of dropping, so everybody can choose what they prefer? Or maybe explain a bit more the script, so anyone can modify it, as you you explained for gun condition?

Thanks!

Yep, just go into death_items_by_communities. That is where all the drop rates are found for the most part. 1 = always drop or 100%, just for reference.

Hello, i really like the changes of this addon, thanks for sharing:)

But is there still the possibility to find PDAs on dead stalkers? Because i didnt find any after killing about 300 enemies..

Even after looting 1000 stalkers there never appeared a PDA on their bodies. I suppose the spawnchances are in death_generic.ltx or death_items_by_community.ltx?

Could you / someone please give a hint what value for PDA spawnchance would be suitable to be closer to vanilla and where exactly the value has to be changed?

Any help would be very appreciated:)

death_items_by_communities is the file you want. 1 = always drop or 100%, just for reference. I have PDA's set between 4% and 2.5% drop chance, so I'm a little surprised you didn't find any after looting that many corpses.

Nice changes. In vanilla Coc I always had surplus meds, and food that I would sell to traders, nice change that now you actually have to buy them (well I used to buy them for first 10 hours of gameplay, now I break every box I find and they drop like hotcakes).

You get less ammo now but you still get enough from unloading weapons and breaking boxes so no need to buy that either.

Now when I think about it, lowering drops from breakables would be nice to implement in this mod!

One in ten weapons found on corpses is of sellable quality so you can make huge profits there. In vanilla CoC I would fill my inventory to the brim with ammo/meds/pda and sell that for profit. With this mod I do that with guns now and I get much more profit from one gun haul than one ammo/meds/pda haul. Also, you sometimes get lucky and find mint condition weapon you planned to get while in vanilla CoC you have to buy it (or you can repair broken one you got from corpse for half the price that new one costs).

On the other hand, where the hell do I find stronger detector than bear? :D On my current playthrough of over 50 hours I have looted over 226 corpses, found 53 stashes, smashed 261 boxes, am at rank 6 with 13201 points, checked inventory of that ecologist in Yantar sheetload of times and still can't find better detector than bear :c

Svarog detector has a 1/200 drop chance on corpses. It's really rare, but can be found. Your best bet though is to loot stashes, I've found Svarog's sometimes within 5 minutes of starting a new game in stashes :) Unfortunately, it's all up to RNGesus.

After installing your mod PDA on the corpse to find not really (achievement - the information dealer remains in dreams ((), as well as grenades for the grenade launcher will appear regardless of whether he was on arms and often 5 grenades.) Good mod, thanks for the work (Даешь баланс!!:))) Thanks in advance for the answer.

Can you fix the No-PDA bug? I think we need to edit ltx files somewhere else, tried editing death_items_by_communities, made itm_pda_common,uncommon,rare to value of 1, still no pda's, respond fast please, thanks.

The is a problem with grenade luncher ammo drops. Bandits with LR300 sometimes dropped up to 8 m203 grenades, and they don't even have m203 luncher attached to their weapon. Thats not supposed to happen, isn't it?

And yes, this mod makes PDA and faction patches stop dropping. Problem not in .ltx files but in death_manager.script.

I do some experiments with this file and if you change "local community_list" section in the beginning of this file, back to how it was in vanilla CoC:
" local community_list = { "stalker", "dolg", "freedom", "bandit", "army", "zombied", "ecolog", "killer", "monolith", "csky" }"

Removing parts: ""stalker_novice", "stalker_trainee", "stalker_experienced","stalker_professional", "stalker_veteran", "stalker_expert", "stalker_master", "stalker_legend"," etc ...

And second, in the end of file you need to change line:
"if (math.random(0,0)/100) <= rnd then"
to:
"if (math.random(1,100)/100) <= rnd then"

Then PDAs and faction patches start drop again. This changes of course can affect the drop in some manner, but so far it looks like it was before my editing.

Second bug was in "death_generic.ltx", ammo_m209 = 0, 5
contrary to: ammo_og-7b = 0, 1, ammo_vog-25 = 0, 1, grenade_f1 = 0, 1, grenade_rgd5 = 0, 1.
Because of that I think m209 grenades drops in such big amounts.

Well i guess (math.random(0,0)/100) would be 0 right?random between 0 and 0 is 0 divided bu 100.ergo no patches drops.
