I like the animation behavior with the jumping curve and the fixed shadow heigth. Did you block jumping into unpassable and/or not yet revealed terrain?
Regarding Reaper behavior implementation:
I would love to see this. I think this is very hard to realize as the pathfinding would need to be hacked/adapted. I have no idea if someone ever investigated this field.

GPTP has terrain control? It would be more useful in that way.
