Well, that is a massive let down, hope real multiplayer comes in later, it would be sick to play with a friend.
Do you mean coop? Because you can play the singleplayer maps if you make them multiplayer compatible, or download coop versions. the only difference is there is friendly fire so be careful.

Why? Beta 2 multiplayer is significantly more stable than beta 1. Beta 2, in general, is a lot more stable than beta 1. Especially if you use Xash3d.
