Fun, bouncy bombs for your sadistic amusement in Brutal Doom v21! Slot 5, sometimes replaces the rocket launcher.
It's been tough to make those, but they're finally here. We all love the pipebombs from Duke Nukem 3D, so it's a wonderful idea to have those in our favourite mod!
How to use them?
To use it, first you need totoss some firebombs. You can do that by pressing the fire button until you've thrown enough pipebombs. Once you're ready to make the earth shake, press the alt fire to make them all explode! They can also be detonated in the air.
If you don't need to blow them up anymore, you can just pick them back up.
You can have up to 25 pipebombs, or even 50 if you have a backpack.
The bombs have a "hold to charge" system. It's displayed in one of your ammo slots on the hud. Their tossing strength gets increased every 4 units of the meter.
So, in short - the longer you hold them down, the further they'll go!
PRO TIP #1:
Keep in mind though - every remote thing has its range, and the detonator is no exception - any pipebomb further than 6144 units from you won't explode. Don't worry, that's still quite far away and most likely won't cause issues.
PRO TIP #2:
Cyberdemons and spider masterminds are immune to splash damage caused by explosions, so the pipebombs won't hurt them at all.
PRO TIP #3:
You can kill an enemy by throwing a lot of pipebombs at their face without actually detonating them. You can still pick them up afterwards lol
There's also a small reskin that includes alternative idle frames, the new hands were made by Iknowhowtomap(Gorman Freebmane).
How do I get them?
They sometimes spawn instead of the rocket launcher. You can also get ammo for it from backpacks.
If you're impatient you can give/summon these actors: DN3DPipeBomb, PipebombSpawner
Compability n' permission woohoo
The addon is quaranteed to work only with Brutal Doom v21 and my personalized addon for it. It might work with other submods and mods based off Brutal Doom, but they are not supported.
The addon also won't really work with other addons that mess with the rocket launcher spawners without patches - some new weapons that replace those won't spawn.
If you want to reuse parts of this addon (code or sprites) I'd appreciate if you'd ask me beforehand.

- Dropped pipebomb has a smaller hitbox now, so you'll have to get a tiny bit closer to it to pick it up.

- Fixed the flashlight not working with this weapon.

Nice! even thought of making Duke Nukem Forever's M16? its from an abandoned version and most likely has sprites laying around.
Or maybe Duke Nukem 64 pistol with centered sprites and ADS or burst fire? probably it has sprites laying around

Hi. I have a few mods of yours that don't launch the game to me. Here is a screenshot of my load order. I get:
Script error, "DoxsBrutalPipeBombs.pk3:pipebomb.txt" line 20:
"inventory.althudicon" is an unknown actor property.
I also get the same error with HexaShotgun. PlasmaGun however seems to work fine. I removed any mods I thought might conflict (such as HaloShotgun for the HexaShotgun, to no avail). I haven't tried any other mods since I assumed I would get the same error. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
