A mod, first of it's kind, about the Civil war a few of the major battles that happened. Gettysburg and Colr Harbor will be in single player, and mulitplayer is still iffy.
UNION
-the regular infantryman, armed with the US Model 1861 Rifle Musket. Reload time is long, 10 seconds, but if you hit something, the .58 caliber bullet will tear your enemy to shreds!
-snipers. Armed with the US Model 1861 Rifle musket attached with a scope, he can hit targes downrange that a regular infatryman could only dream of.
-the squadleader, armed with a Spencer Rifle, is the strognest unit next to elites. He can put 7 rounds downrange in the time it takes for a regular musket to reload. It does less damage, as the caliber is smaller.
-elites. The best of the best, General McClellan's Army! All armed with Spencer rifles and one US Model 1861 Rifle musket scoped, this crack squad can kill and capture points faster than the normal units.
Confederate
-the regular infantryman, armed with the US Model 1861 Rifle Musket. Reload time is long, 10 seconds, but if you hit something, the .58 caliber bullet will tear your enemy to shreds!
-the squadleader, armed with a Halls Rifle, is the strognest unit next to elites. He can put one round downrange every 3 seconds, outmatching the Model 1861 by 3 to 1! It does less damage, as the caliber is smaller.
-snipers. Armed with the US Model 1861 Rifle musket attached with a scope, he can hit targes downrange that a regular infatryman could only dream of.
-elites. The best of the best, General Lee's Northern Virgina Army! All armed with Hall's rifles and one US Model 1861 Rifle musket scoped, this crack squad can kill!

Possibly. As I said before, I have no modelers to work with.
I wish you good luck to find some, since I'm working alone on my mod too, so I can't you help a lot, except in skinning , I can help some, but that's all. What is that you need to do is never abandon you project and keep trying to do something, and if you can't see the mod's release/finish time, so then at least you will gain some modding skills(improve, for example I have improved my re-skinning a lot than before)

How you going to put cavalry into the mod, i mean they were a really inportant part of the war, considering at the time it was the only way to gain encirclement, just like a ww2 game wouldnt work without tanks its the surely the same for civil war. It is a bit of a intresting mod for men of war but if you pull it off it will be an awesome mod. also you should give the confederates the enfield 53 rifle just to make them differnt from the union soliders just a suggestion.
This mod is 99% DEAD. There are no volunrteers for modeling, and no one wants to script. I might as well just relase what I have in a useless pile of junk.

That's the problem. No one helped me in this mod.
I cannot help because i'm busy with my own things. i also have no interest in Assault Squad or the american civil war.
If i was going to do a civil war mods' it would probably be the Angolan Civil War.
