The Battle for Middle-earth: Tactics – is a first mod for The Battle for Middle-earth II: The Rise of the Witch-king which main goals not only to add units, heroes and buildings, but also cardinally to change a gameplay and to improve graphics.
Traditionally troops wore their sides colors or had banner carriers to identify themselves on the battlefield, so this would fit as is, but it would be cool if you could create icons/symbols of the factions on the units ei. White Hand, Iron Crown, Horse Lord (Head) etc...
Like Saruman said, hell no ;)
But concerning the banner it's very interesting ;) If we can identify player with nice banner skin and not horrible colours wich make your soldiers incredebly ridiculous ;)
Do everything that yo uwant but don't incorporate housecolour please :)
If implemented correctly housecolor would look great! Perhaps add a toggle in game for no housecolor and housecolor, I remember I was supposed to work on one for my mod.
Do you need housecolor?
No. =p
Housecolour is only useful for random faction competitive online.

Interesting idea. Thank you.
Hell no
I prefer not :) But as OmeG mentioned, I think icons would be cool on your awesome skins!

No, I dont like it. But if you need to put housecolors it would be best if it only changes the Banner's main color.
