Battlefield 40k's Mission Is to transform the Tabletop game of Games Workshops Warhammer 40,000 into an FPS for the Battlefield 2 Engine. The purpose of our mod project is to put six races in game. The aim for first release is focusing on Imperial Guard Cadians vs Tau Campaign (details on the campaign will be unveiled near release of the first alpha). The Six Races Space Marines Adeptus Astartes, Chapter: Blood Angels Space Marines are genetically enhanced superhumans that form the elite forces of the imperium of man. They are one of the most loyal forces to the Emperor. The Blood Angels were formed by the Primarch Sanguinius, their genes derive from him. During the Horus Heresy Their founder died at the hands of the traitor Horus. Ever since this incident the chapter has not been quite the same. Their geneseed now contains the Black Rage. At times The Blood Angels will lose control to the curse and annihilate all the enemy tearing them limb from limb without mercy. Imperial Guard...

You cannot use primary weapons key to fire the pistol and secondary attack to use the chainsword, due to the limitations in bf you have to use the number keys to switch between weapons.

Ok that is bad ***. can you attack with the chainsword at the same time( like you hit the right mouse button to attack with it) or is just showing it out but you still have to switch weapons?
well it's impossible to do like you said in bf2 sadly so you've to switch...
thats what I thought, but one can hope.
just one question is this for bf2 or bf 2142 since that imp bridgemove that was next in the playlist had an aircraft that looked an awfull lot like the ones used bu EU in bf 2142 or was it something else? (just asking to be sure i don't really care since i bought both games :D)
A few things:
1) Ouch! painful looking crotch cables
2) Looking at the video I didn't expect to see las weapons firing that fast or with that larger a muzzle flash. I thought DoW had it about right, with lasguns firing like statwars blasters.
3) No chainsword swings and slashes in the vid? If you're demoing duel wielding shouldn't we see both weapons in action?
Cables around the crotch, we need an animators help to end that problem.
The muzzleflash effect is the vanila one from bf and has not been customised to use the existing effects we have as this was only a demo to see if we could have dual wield.
The rate of fire will be higher than that of the laspistol because of it being a hellpistol.
Our lasguns and pistols are rapid fire unlike the slower rate semi auto ones in dow.
No chainsword swings yet as we need an animators assistance.

This is a Kasrkin/Storm Trooper sergant, isn´t it? And you said you played or saw dow then you should know that the Kasrkin shoots faster than the normal guardsmen. Ok I agree with the gunflash bit it´s in work. And it isn´t so bad to say thank you for the work of the bf40k team.
It is the early Kasrkin Sgt, the reason why I say early is because we do not have a texture yet that marks out his rank.
When we have the models, there will be additional weapons options such as the plasma pistol and the power sword.
