Battlefield: Galactic Conquest will put you in the role of an every day soldier in the Star Wars universe. You will be able to choose between the Galactic Civil war and The Clone Wars and fight by either means of Land or Air in many of the Vehicles you can see throughout the Star Wars universe.
Take out AT AT walkers with your snowspeeder or battle around huge star destroyers in space, whatever takes your fancy!

Galactic Conquest a Battlefield1942 modification has just relased a Trailer video showcasing our highly aniticipated ver. .2 alpha release!
It's a must see for any BF1942 player old and new to the moding scene. Galactic Conquest V.2 takes you through an amazing action packed thriller while maning one of your favorite Star Wars universe vehicles or shooting it out using one of several weapons. Hey there Galactic Conquest fans I love Galactic Conquest as well! I was an Alpha Tester on the GC Dev team circa 2004 on version 4.2 and 5.0
I have been working off and on for the last few years with some of the old GC Devs and a few new ones twards creating a GC version 7.0 with lots of gameplay fixes and bug fixes, as well as all new maps and vehicles and other content. The problem is they all stopped working on GC and have moved on. Would you any of you with modding skills be interested in helping to finish this version 7 with me? Our ultimate goal was to finish up GC 7.0 for BF1942 then PORT GC 7.0 into the Battlefield Vietnam engine. So have any interest in helping out? Do you know any tricks on porting bf1942 content into the BFV engine? ANY help with be great!

HOW-TO: MAKE YOUR BF1942 LOOK MUCH NICER!
If you have anything above an Geforce 7 or Radeon HD3xxx videocard (mostly common by now) I recommend you change the following two settings in your "VideoDefault.con"
This file is located in \Battlefield 1942\Mods\bf1942\Settings\
Change the following rules:
renderer.globalLodRadius 20
renderer.globalLodRadiusScaleFactor 0
What it does:
when ever you walk towards a verhicle or object (building / prop) you notice a pop-up of the same object with more detail from a certain distance. This is called LOD, or Level of Detail.
So now, instead of a Pop-up of more detail from closeby, you get High-quallity models and verhicles from ALL-Distances !
And the best thing is, its not a Hack, punkbuster thinks its just fine!

I've just installed this fun mod again on my new Win7 computer.
Sometimes windows 7 makes my BF1942 crash to desktop (it just exits the game).. but i'm used to that by now. I might dual-boot to a Windows XP though, just for my Battlefield to run smoothly :)
I've forgotten how cool this mod realy was, you can do anything!
Even drive those little cleaning bots in Judicator or fly Recon Droids in Hoth :D Woooh, Makes me wanna get back ingame!
I just wish there where more content and more people playing now, at least more singleplayer games to make up for lost gameplay now-a-days
Yeah. back in the day this was the B O M B! Played it nonstop-2004. Then stopped. Started playing it again last summer!

A mappack update release next, it have more quality like the actually. More facts you have to found in: hgklan.plusboard.de and bfgames.net!
Sort of like that, the graphics are rather less good, the gameplay is still like BF 1942, and this came first, but the same sort of thing yes.
Also, there is little singleplayer support for this, though some.
