Battlefield 2: Iron War Evolved mod

This mod is the second part of the CAT Mod Studios lore/storyline (See GordonTheCat's blogs). It follows the years 1959-1983 including the Sino-Soviet Border Conflict 1959-1960, the First Iron War, the Second Iron War and the Third Iron War.

China launches the first man-made satilite making the Soviet Union and
NATO jealous and worried at the same time. Seeing this, the Soviet
Union launches 'Operation Bear Claw' on the Russian-Mongolian-Chinese
border leading to the Sino-Soviet Border Conflicts of 1957-1959. By the
time this has finnished, 13,000 people have died for little land gains
for the Soviets. The USSR needs a new stratagey. Knowledgable that Iran
and Azerbaijan in the Middle East recently defated the othe Arab nations
(mainly Iraq) with little casulties and a large land/resource gain, the
USSR proposes to fund and requip the Iranian and Azerbaijani armies if
they launch a Soviet-Kazahk backed invasion of China's neibourghing
protecterates: Turkmenistan, Krygastan and Tajkistan. They foolishly
accept and so the First Iron War begins in 1960.

By 1968, the First Iron War is over with more than 100,000 casulties
on both sides. Once again, there is little gain for the Soviet Union.
Egar for a revenge strike, China attacks Kazahkstan in the Second Iron
War which lasts until 1974 with around 6,000 casulties all togeather
with a decsive Chinese victory. The Third Iron War is the longest yet
lasting until 1983 with about 17,000 casulties but the Soviets managed
to hold their ground this time.
