Here is some good news to all people that play the Battle Grounds Mod
Tonight, Release Candidate 1 of the Demo Patch of the Battle Grounds went out to all testers and teamies. In this patch are the following -

Out of edicts crash bug fixed
Gun effects now appear
Effects appearing on sky fixed
Inverted bullet drop gone
Snowlake point exploit bug gone
Bug where a massive amount of points would be given if two players were in a point at the same time
Voice commands now have delays (2 second delay between normal commands and 30 second delay between Battle Cries)
Mute now affects the text and sound of voice commands
Win sounds will no longer overlap if two wins are close enough together
All forms of automatic reloading are gone
Fixed multiple variables being stored in the players info buffer, causing info string is full errors
Basic team balancing implemented (you can't join a team with more players than the other)
Valley and Ruin map fixes
Maps pos_farm and pos_newengland added
Shipload overview fixed
Reload and all other animations now appear in first person spectator
The right hand command menu on the spectator panel now works
Reduced data being sent while in spectator mode
CPU Usedge of round rules and point rules reduced
Changing team and/or class will now kill you, to reduce confussion on whether you did actually change
Thirdperson reload coded in (awaiting animation for this, but it will be in, in time for a later RC)
Modifed Charleville skin
Incorrect version number in liblist.gam
Typographical error in server.cfg

Other fixed bugs, which I can't remember off the top of my head, but will be listed as soon as I can view the CVS logs fully

There are some things which are half done, which might work there way into the patch but they might not -

sv_restartround (or equivilant)
Bayonet (unlikely)
Improved team balancing

Work is still progress on the new site design, but it has taken a back seat in recent days ( and probably will for days to come ), due to work on the patch.

We thank you for bearing with us, while we have fixed this. The patch will be public shortly, but it will be going through a thorough amount of testing before it gets publically released.
