Struggle for survival in a treacherous new land...
BADLAND is not from the world you know... its past and people were of a very different kind. As you play the game yourself or browse the website you may find out for yourself some of the past of BADLAND.
BADLAND takes place hundreds of years after a great castastrophe ravaged the land, the sky, and the sea. An event known to the survivors as The Long Dark. The inhabitants of BADLAND are a people of bleak hopes. No hope for the future gives them no purpose, and a lacking memory of the past removes their bars on morality.
Those that bother to keep a calendar bluntly call this era: the Post-Apocalypse (P.A.)
Gameplay in BADLAND will vary. From intense and brutal firefights to high speed automotive combat with mounted 20mm cannons.
BADLAND will include a large arsenal of some quality firepower. All weapons in BADLAND, even the high tech ones will have a sense of rugged style and attitude.

We have made the decision to switch to the Unreal Tournament 2003 engine as it has much greater support for mods and allows us to really shine in the art department. We'll be merging with another mod that hasn't been announced yet. BADLAND will be pretty much what it was planned to be still but the development timeline will reverse. Instead of developing vehicles and car combat first we will be making combat on foot. Small arms and blood instead of 20mm cannons and warped steel.
More news on this is coming soon as we work out the kinks in the merger.

Really, out of all the HL2 mods Ive looked at so far, this is the only one with graphics that are equal to HL2. I'm sure this one will be succsesful.
