M1A1 represents the most common version of Thompson that majority of people know.

Ok, a change is here. You got me an idea. The V-notch is used for full-auto (faster aiming) and the peep for semi-auto (more accurate).

Thompson M1 and M1A1 now have some key differences. M1 has the simplified rear sight, 20 round magazine and old style safety/selector controls. M1A1 has hooded rear sight, 30 round magazine and new style safety/selector controls.
