I have been experimenting with the xmodels from CoD Black Ops modding tools pack. This model is the British Sten Mk2S - the silenced version of regular Sten Mk2. CoD Black Ops has this (and also unsilenced) model as a new one. After import I have heavily modified the whole thing. The model has 2-times more detailed textures (1024x1024 pixels) plus optimized and more detailed shape. Especially editing the model took some 3 days. Animations are original CoD2. Sounds are not from CoD Black Ops.
I always love to see a weapon that has detailed receiver! Maybe you should make a Sten with wooden stock, since not all of them had tube like ones.
Also, could we perhaps see an MP 18?
Yeah, it has even a modelled return spring. I plan to make better animation.
To the models - originally I wanted to do Mk2 both with T-stock and frame-stock (T-stock is on this picture, frame-stock is on default cod2 sten). I wanted to make also Mk3 and Mk5. But I realized that it would be basically still the same weapon many times.
In final, I will do unsilenced sten (Mk2) with T-stock and silenced sten (Mk2S) with frame-stock. I will not probably do Mk3 or Mk5 because they are too latewar (no use). Not definitive though...
Well, just like Cro Whitewolf said, it's nice to see the Sten with Wood stock (Mk. 5), well if it's too late war, perhaps we can use it in the Multiplayer?
Plus, it's kinda funny to see that low-detailed hand, holding a highly detailed weapon lol
The thing is that Mk5 could be used only in British Normandy missions, not in Africa.
Btw, from the same reason I removed all G-43s from African and Russian missions.
