Hi all! We, the Back2Fronts mod team, are proudly announcing the Back2Fronts Mod for Call Of Duty 2. The mod wants to bring much more intense, realistic and full battle experience. We want to achieve this by giving the player more options and more diversity. Mod will be separated into SP and MP part and those parts will also be released separately.

Not is first Panzeschreck and Panzerfaust deployed in 1944 ? Before this germans use AT rifles,mobile Flak or PAK etc, Panzerschreck is from captured american Bazooka by germans in Tunisia 1943

That's a more complicated topic. Rocket launchers (US and German) were first used in North Africa in late 1942. Then (approximatelly in middle 1943) they became a common weapon.

But you are right that the panzerschreck was (probably) not used at Stalingrad. But I must put there some armor piercing weapon - either the early panzerschreck or the ptrs41 - because your objective is to destroy german halftrack and you can't do it without antitank weapon.

Btw, here are the dates of AT weapons:
* faustpatrone - early 1943
* panzerfaust 30 - early 1943
* panzerfaust 60 (in B2F mod) - early 1944
* panzerfaust 100 - late 1944
* panzerschreck 43 (in B2F mod) - early 1943
* panzerschreck 54 (in B2F mod)- break 1943/1944
* bazooka m1 (in B2F mod) - middle 1942
* bazooka m9 (in B2F mod) - early 1944
* ptrs41 (in B2F mod) - late 1941
* ptrd41 - late 1941

I would rather you replace it with an AT rifle like the Panzerb├╝chse 39, PTRS41 or something just for historical accuracy sake.

Did you read the comments above? It says panzerbuchse is not in the mod. And I won't be making a gun just to fill one mission with it.

I will put ptrs41 there once it's finished.

Nice idea!
Do you know whether some Panzerschrecks were really used in Stalingrad? (not that it matter that much in-game, just asking out of curiosity)

Position of the Panzerschreck was changed - now it will lay on the table (where the scoped Kar98k originaly was).

The Downtown Sniper contained quite a few problems. Firstly. Lt. Volsky had regular russian infantry model. Secondly, the Panzerschreck placed there was a late war type. I corrected both these errors - Volsky has his usual commissar look and Panzerschreck is the early type.
As a small bonus I took away the scoped Kar98k from the table and placed a DP-28 machine gun into a window nearby. It will come very handy against the counter attacks. But of course it is still possible to play the mission in the old style - using the sniper rifle.
