Question about KITT (the car, not the mod) Thread - Back to the Future: Hill Valley mod for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

First off -- and you've probably heard this a million times already -- awesome mod. Seriously, you guys deserve some serious kudos.

Now... How feasible is it to code KITT to work with the original Vice City game? You know, so that we can play the original Vice City with all the one-sided advantages of an invincible, laser-shooting supercar?

And by feasible, I don't mean "can you do it for me". I'll gladly dirty my hands and do it myself since you guys are focused on BttF. I just want to know how involved it is.

oh, that is easy. I can easily release that part, since his features take a lot less space then the time travel stuff. Which also means you'll fight against KARR as well (the first KARR which looked exactly like KITT, but red scanner though). I can do it easily. Just a simple copy and paste for me. You could do it, but it's a bit harder, since you don't have the source code that has everything labeled nicely.

Well, I'm at work. And I have a clean install of VC on hand. If you can't find one in about two hours or so, I'll upload it as soon as I get home.

Well, I'm installing it so no worries. Just gotta get the headlights of the delorean to work in sa first.

EDIT: Yippee, headlights work. Just gotta move some stuff around. Wow, that was my first time unwrapping uvws and remapping textures. A lot harder than it seems.

Ha-haha! Wormhole effect asside (I know you said it's SA's fault), that's awesome.

but look at the fire and the explosions and god it sho uld take another year to even get it close as VC is

yeah, sa has no wormholes or plasma trails (well, short ones). It's particle handling is poor, if the fire trails are any indication. But thats about it. I think.
