The Babylon 5 X3 mod is a total conversion for X3TC; turning it into the Babylon 5 universe. We've taken information from all sources, cannon, Mongoose as well as our own imaginations (were required by omissions) in order to create the Babylonian Universe as best as we possibly can. All ships within the game are flyable - albeit some you're unlikely to get hold of; cheating not withstanding. Every cannon ship is in, stations as well as hyperspace and a few surprises along the way. First full release is out there, with the potential for 'tweaks' and 'bonuses' depending on enthusiasm for the mod.
What can I say? One of my favorite sci-fi universes open for exploration, trade and combat and pretty much everything you want to do. The whole concept of X3 fits the babylon 5 universe perfectly and this mod does a great job at merging them together!
The atmosphere, the overall look, sounds and describtions are outstanding and leave you with the imperssion of a fully polished, complete game experience. There are still some rough edges here and there, but as mention in the first releases describtion, those are being worked on.
If you want to get into your trusty starfury or a narn fighter and just wander the universe, see your favorite worlds and even build your own little empire - there is nothing holding you back now! And even with this being not the absolutly final version, there is already enough content to fill hours and hours for sure!
While I'm certainly not a huge X3 fan, I am a big B5 fan and this is probably the most complete Babylon 5 mod I've seen in any game so far. With a few added campaigns and some minor tweaks, this mod could easily be a 10/10 for any Babylon 5 fan.
The only negatives I noticed in this mod are somewhat minor; A few recycled weapon sounds (Drazi ships weapons having EA Hyperion SFX) and a few missing weapons from the TV series (Drazi Sunhawk missing characteristic yellow beam laser etc) but aside from this, a fantastic mod that features almost every ship and station from the TV series most of which feature their own unique weaponry and technology as seen in the TV show. The mod even includes many ships only seen in single episodes, for example, the alien abductor ship, the 3rd Space Aliens and the 'first ones'.
Most importantly, nearly all of the ships strength/ power ratings and weapon damage remain true to that seen of the TV show, for example, an EA Omega is no match for a Minbari Sharlin War Cruiser, likewise, a Sharlin War Cruiser is outgunned by Shadow or Vorlon capital ships.
"A dream given form." Wonderful mod. Ships and stations are picture perfect. Hyperspace system is creative and functional. Only loses a point for intermittent lag, but that also happens in the base game. The systems are just (too?) huge!
Bought this game just to try out this mod. Thankfully was not disappointed. Amazed at what you've done so far. The Ships and Stations look amazing and everything else seems on the right track. still getting to grips with it but i just wanted to say thanks to all involved for your work so far.

As a sandbox, it is a 10/10. Many many ships are there, the game hasn't crashed on me, and--as a long time B5 fan--I am absolutely thrilled.
