Athena is a substance that was developed as an easily renewable powerful energy source. Although Athena was initially intended as a replacement for most energy sources, it was discovered that it caused certain mutations, such as increased metabolism, strength, endurance, and speed. It can also be used for medical treatment through tissue regeneration.
Some of the world's governments have found Athena quite useful for their own endeavours and signed a world wide ban on civilian use of Athena to have better control over it.
In response to the governments' ban, much of the world's population decided to rebel and gain back control of Athena distribution by force. To eradicate the rebellion, the United Nations created an organisation known as the Athena Defense Force.

Hello fellow modders! We are a new team continuing Athena's development, which was on hold while most of the code was developed. This is our first news update for Athena and we want to give you an outlook on Athena's future.
The multiplayer code is complete (including vehicles+chopper) and we are currently busy creating the two maps for our first release. Here are some concept art and models:

All weapons modeled by Master, skinned and textured by iSick.
For the Rebel faction, there will be some original weapons as well, and the Athena Defense Force will use some Athena enhanced weaponry and heavy weapons of their own. I want to show you the finished arms model, too.
