You really should make the laser moveable like the particle cannon
or make it split above target and draw a pentagon on ground which does minor damage to anything touching it, then it glows and explodes.
thats my opinion though.
Oh I've tried, believe me. Well I tried, and failed, to get something working along the lines of the Ion Cannon. If ever I have a working method for this, it would certainly make for an awesome weapon.
